Jennifer Horn
ABOUT Jennifer
Jennifer served one tour in the Army where she helped run security detail on head Iraq officials. While in Iraq she was hit by an incoming mortar and sustained serious injuries. Shrapnel hit her all over her body one of which causing her to almost lose an eye. She was air lifted to Germany and then stateside because of the extent of her injuries. She spent a few months in physical therapy and also removed as much shrapnel as they could. The Army wanted to medically retire her after the explosion but she tuffed it out so she could fulfill her obligation to the Army. Now a nurse in the masters program she has worked in multiple prisons, mental health facilities, drug and rehabilitation centers, and is now the lead nurse at the Island county jail. She’s the Washington state comander for the MOPH, Military Order of the Purple Heart, and works with the Pin up for Vets. I’ll be honest she’s a firecracker, and is about as tuff as they come yet is all about helping anyone in need!
