ABOUT Kevin

Started training with fire department in 1978 with the San Clemente fire explorers. Paid call firefighter with Orange County fire department in 1982. Full time firefighter with City of Riverside, California in 1984. Transferred to Orange County fire department in 1987. Retired in 2014 as a captain, disability retirement.
Enlisted in the Army reserve in June 1987. Basic training, warrant officer candidate school and initial entry rotary wing aviator training graduated in 1989. Operation Bright Star 99/00. Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan 2002. Operation Iraqi Freedom 2009/2011. Retired as a chief warrant officer 4 in 2014, medically retired.
Fire department awards include OCFA Medal of Courage, Unit Citation, and numerous major incident awards
US military awards are Bronze Star Medal, Afghanistan. Meritorious Service Medal, second award, Iraq and end of service. Joint meritorious service medal, Egypt. Good conduct medal, army reserve achievement medal, national defense service medal with bronze star, Afghanistan campaign medal with bronze star, Iraqi campaign medal with bronze star, war on terrorism expeditionary medal, war on terrorism service medal, armed forces reserve medal with bronze hourglass and M device.

Married in 1988 and has two children and one grandson.

In total 32 plus years in the fire service and 22 years in the army reserve as a helicopter pilot and safety officer.
